Firstly I will explain what a 5.1 channel speakers system is. The 5.1 speakers (also known as 6-channel surround speakers system) means that you have six speakers.

Every aspect of these speakers rock. If you are willing to put up with them you won’t be disappointed.

Another 5.1 sound system which I highly recommend, if you don’t have enough money to afford the
Z-5500 is the Logitech X-530 5.1 Speaker System.
The X-530 Logitech computer speaker is a cheaper, but also good solution for those who plan to buy a good 5.1 speaker system at a lower price.

Although the systems power is only 70 Watts, the sound power is outstanding. Logitech introduced a new satellite technology into the speakers, which is called FDD2 (Frequency Directed Dual Driver) to bring better and richer sound. The center channel makes dialog remarkably clear and intelligible. It is ideal for gamers, because the speakers are extremely clear. You will love the subwoofer too because the the bass can go from 40HZ to 20kHZ.
For the price you are paying for the X-530 Logitech computer speaker there isn’t anything wrong with these speakers. As a conclusion I have to tell you that these speakers are definitely worth the money.
If you are on low budget and you want clarity and power at a low price this is the way to go, because this 5.1 speakers stands above the rest.

Bass is very powerful with some serious punch, but also with very high tolerance for distortions.
They can also survive very high volume levels without any kind of distortions, most likely thanks to Bass redirection that keeps low freq. sounds off from reaching satelitte speakers that are generally meant for mid and high freq. and are not doing too well with low freq. The sound is very important in games, so I tested the 5.1 speakers out in a few games. The 5.1 setup added a lot of in-game depth and allowed greater perception of where sounds (and thus targets/events) were coming from (games I tested: Doom 3, Spore, C&C Red Alert 3).

My opinion is that the Inspire T6100 is a great 5.1 speaker system for a relatively cheap price. The speakers have nice design that fits perfectly on pretty much any desk. The only annoying thing is that the system doesn’t have any remote control. Overall I’m happy with the 5.1 speakers and I can only recommend them.
